Map & DirectionsWith all its joy and promise, birth is an event like no other. The Family Birth Center at Silverton Hospital is dedicated to making labor, birth and recovery as comfortable as possible. We also recognize birth as a family affair and want the experience to be warm and memorable.
Our Family Birth Center has beautiful, private birth suites with all of the comforts of home. Day beds, cozy chairs and refrigerators invite family and support people to participate as fully as Mother chooses. Jetted bathtubs give Mom the opportunity to alleviate some of the discomforts of labor. Post-partum massage is available to soothe sore muscles after delivery.
Our caring and experienced nursing staff provide highly personalized care to each mother. We put each woman at the center of her own unique labor experience. Our Family Birth Center staff works closely with families to create a calm, supportive environment.
We offer several natural delivery approaches that enable moms to help direct their own care. Pain medications and epidural anesthesia are also available. In the unlikely event of an emergency, an on-site surgical suite offers physicians and our staff the medical technology to protect mother and baby.
In recent years our Family Birth Center has enjoyed tremendous growth as more families discover the special birthing experience we provide. We deliver twice the number of babies as any hospital twice our size in Oregon. In 2010, we welcomed 1804 babies and our experience is evident of the quality of care our doctors, midwives, anesthesia staff and nurses provide.
Come see for yourself what makes the Family Birth Center so special. We host tours every Sunday at 3pm. There is no need to call ahead.
Silverton Hospital Family Birth Center is the only Oregon hospital recognized by J.D. Power and Associates for providing an outstanding maternity experience. <learn more>
