At Silverton Health, patients benefit from the latest research and advanced diagnostic technology available in heart and vascular care.
Cardiology
Patients are generally referred to a cardiologist (heart specialist) by their primary care provider for the diagnosis and treatment of heart disorders and related conditions.
Symptoms like shortness of breath, chest pain or dizzy spells often require special testing and the expertise of a heart specialist. Cardiologists also are involved in the treatment of heart attacks, heart failure and serious heart rhythm disturbances, and their skills and training are required whenever decisions are made about procedures such as cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty or heart surgery.
Silverton Health is proud to work with Cascade Cardiology.
Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Cardiac catheterization, or coronary angiogram, is a test to see if there is disease in the coronary arteries. It studies the blood flow in the coronary arteries as well as the blood flow and blood pressure in the chambers of the heart. The test is also used to discover how well your heart valves are working and check for defects in the heart wall.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
A heart attack, stent or other cardiac procedure is a life-altering event, but the steps you take afterward may play an even larger role than medical intervention. Individuals who participate in a monitored exercise program, and receive nutritional counseling and education about lifestyle changes, can improve their health by reducing risk factors that lead to cardiovascular disease and future cardiac events.
Wellspring Heart
Wellspring Heart is a revolutionary program that enlists lifestyle changes – nutrition, exercise, stress reduction and group support – to prevent and reverse heart disease, the nation's #1 health concern. The program is based on published research studies by Dean Ornish, MD
