History
The origin of Silverton Hospital dates to 1918 and a two-story frame structure on North Water Street. With no elevator, patients were carried by stretcher to and from the second-floor operating room. It was a primitive set up, but it was the beginning of a tradition of caring that has endured for over nine decades.
In 1937, the hospital moved to its current site, and has continued to grow to meet the needs of the community.
